Day 12: Some More Content – The Keyword Academy Scam Experiment
(Thursday July, 2nd)
I have too much to do on Wednesdays to be able to work on this project so I skipped it and started up again today. I wrote another article for my first site (2 down, 3 to go). It was pretty easy and I was done with it in about 45 minutes but I spent about another 45 minutes proof reading it, messing with the formatting, adding tags, and figuring out how to embed a Youtube video in it. The Keyword Academy recommends that most of the content on your sites be text, but for this particular site a visual was kind of necessary. I figure an hour and a half isn’t too bad for only my second article. I expect things to speed up as I gain a little more proficiency with WordPress.
At this point I had a work appointment, so it was a good stopping place.
This evening, I checked my Adsense account and much to my surprise, I had several clicks, with a total value of $7.06, all for this site! I must admit I’m a little confused. I haven’t started link trading at all and so I wouldn’t expect this site to even be in the Google index yet. However, I did post on my blog about it and have told some of my friends and family about it, so maybe that’s where the traffic came from. Oh well, 7 bucks is 7 bucks. My first profit, woo hoo!
